We started at the path leading to Spring Hag, to the east of Staveley. The wood was full of bluebells, not quite at their best. but still looking good. The path then led eventually down to Side House and up to Potter Tarn. The views were a bit hazy, still waiting for the sun to fully come out.
The path then went by Birk Field before rejoining the minor road. A short while later we started on the bridleway back towards Spring Hag, but shortly afterwards took the permitted path through Mike’s Wood to eventually rejoin the path where we started.
