Today’s walk took us over Scout Scar and onto Sizergh Castle via Heslington Church.
The day was a bit misty, so not great views. We could see some snow still on the high fells in the distance.
A bit of flooding was still evident in the Lyth Valley.
From Sizergh Castle, we went along Nannypie Lane which took us under the dual-carriageway and down to the River Kent.
We then followed the river back towards Kendal. The footbridge at Wilson Place is currently shut due to storm damage, as is Hawes Bridge a bit further along the walk. We followed the old canal path for the last bit of the journey.
